TSA strongly encourages the development of leadership skills to better prepare the technological student for his or her future career. This is evident in the way all officers and delegates are students and members of the TSA. Once you register with your local chapter, you can then run for one of these offices.

TSA integrates the use of leadership skills, set by the ITEA's Standards for Technological Literacy, in events and competitions. These leadership skills include the development of: communication, creative thinking, critical thinking, decision making, ethics, evaluation, organization, problem solving, self esteem, and teamwork.

This year TSA will be working with Motivated Proformance Inc. to run the DuPont Leadership Academy at this year's TSA National Conference in Denver, Colorado. The program will take place on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at the Denver Sheraton from 2:00p.m.-5:30p.m.

Whether you are in middle or high school, the Motivated Proformance Inc. workshops will teach you tools and techniques needed to have success in today's advancing technological world. This year's DuPont Leadership Academy will focus on proper communication and teamwork in your future technological career fields, and will prepare you with those vital leadership skills and knowledge through an interactive and exciting workshop.

Visit the National TSA Online Conference Registration System to register your chapter for this year’s DuPont Leadership Academy.
